Emily Ferguson (b. 1998, California) is a Los Angeles-based painter whose work explores femininity, identity, and the complexities of emotional life. Moving between figuration and abstraction, her paintings combine dreamlike imagery with expressive brushwork, drawing on references from cinema, fashion, and art history. Her figures often appear suspended between intimacy and performance, vulnerability and self-expression.
Ferguson has presented solo exhibitions at Nicodim in Los Angeles, Half Gallery in Los Angeles and New York, and Prince & Wooster in New York. Her work has also been exhibited at The Journal Gallery, the Green Family Art Foundation, and Sow and Tailor in Hong Kong. In 2025, she participated in Transfigurations of Reality and Out of LA at Opa Projects in Miami
